CONSOLIDATION TEST
The one-dimensional consolidation test of a soil sample enables one to ascertain the settlement characteristics over a given period. The soil specimen under test is axially loaded and laterally contained. Loads are applied with progressive increases and the settlement values are read on a dial gauge.
Front loading Oedometer (consolidation apparatus)
Front loading oedometer with a fixed fulcrum, characterized by a very rigid frame, with surface-protected details. Provided a lever for the load amplification having three different ratios (9:1, 10:1, 11:1) assembled on bearings and fitted with adjustable counterbalancing weight, spirit level, and locking device for the weight loading.
Max. axial load: 17600 N on the specimen (lever 11:1)

The oedometer accepts cells up to 100 cm2, and it is supplied with a consolidation cell and dial gauge 10 x 0,01 mm. The holding bench and the weight must be ordered separately.
